ABOUT

Parkview United Methodist Church is open to worshippers of all ages and backgrounds. We lead our congregation in worship, deepening the connection to God, understanding the teachings of Christ, and ultimately to a vibrant faith.

We have a long, proud history of serving the people of Turtle Lake and the surrounding area. Through the dedication of our pastor, church members and friends we are committed to the teachings of Jesus Christ, and are here to spread the Good News. Contact us today to find out more about becoming part of the Parkview United Methodist Church community.

We gather for Sunday worship at 10:00am.

On the first Sunday of the month we celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion. As a United Methodist congregation we believe that "Christ our Lord invites to his table [to receive Holy Commuion] all who love him, who earnestly repent of their sin and seek to live in peace with one another." In other words, we welcome all Christians to share in Holy Communion with us.

Our basic pattern of worship is

  • Gathering as the people of God with sharing of what joys and concerns we bring to worship, lifting up those prayer requests and singing an opening hymn from The United Methodist Hymnal or The Faith We Sing

  • Hearing the Word of God proclaimed through a scripture lesson and a sermon. Most often we follow the Revised Common Lectionary.

  • Responding to the Word of God through a responsive hymn, praying the prayers of the people, offering, sharing in Holy Communion, and other special events

  • Going forth in God's mission and grace through a closing hymn and receiving a benediction and blessing
